We provide profession lesson plans for Spanish and French teachers with students at the novice and intermediate levels. We also offer free resources from our classrooms.
Our lessons are organized into thematic units that focus on culture and folk literature. Lessons include inventive activities to help students express their opinions, discuss authentic stories, or engage in impromptu conversations with native speakers. The lessons plans describe ways to assess student performance, differentiate instruction, and scaffold student learning into doable steps.
All of our units are mapped to the National Standards for Foreign Language. Students communicate in the context of culture and folk literature to hone their interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational skills.
We design the performance objectives and assessments for our curriculum units before we creating learning experiences to scaffold the students. We use the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language (ACTFL) performance guidelines to select appropriate performance levels for novice and intermediate speakers.
Our thematic units are written by teachers for teachers. Our team of teachers have tested these units in a variety of classroom settings and grade levels. We also incorporate suggestions from our customers.
